Free Your Registrars from the Burden of Manual Review
Reviewing the disease index is an essential part of the casefinding process. But with such large, cumbersome lists, it is one of the most time and labor-intensive tasks a cancer registry should perform.
The Disease Index module reduces that burden to help your registry:
Save Time
Registrars are routinely expected to identify all reportable cancers each month, taking up significant time and labor resources.
The Disease Index module can process a report of this size in significantly less time, freeing your team to work on other value-added tasks.
Reduce Errors
Manually reviewing disease indices leads to human error rates between 10-30%.
The Disease Index module determines reportability with a <2% error rate, ensuring your casefinding is not just faster, but more accurate.
Drive Analytic Value
There is hidden value in your disease indices that many registries overlook. The Disease Index module enhances your datasets and enables you to use information for a range of valuable activities – from performance improvement studies and clinical research to population health programs and strategic planning.
Revealed: The True Cost of Inefficient Cancer Registries
U.S. Cancer cases will double by 2050. Our infographic explores how inefficient registry processes compromise oncology departments’ capacity to cope.
Feed the system source data Medical coding sends their disease index files to the E-Path server.
Run automatic casefinding E-Path uses its SEER Casefinding List and ICD-10 diagnosis codes to perform rapid casefinding on all data. This allows you to match and extract demographics for reportable cases; match pathology, imagining, and medical records to cases; and auto-extract and populate data into NAACCR data forms.
Visual review The ODS visually views and validates pre-abstracted data, before exporting cases.
Completion abstracting Cases are imported from E-Path, the ODS complete abstracting, and the facility submits completed cases to the State and NCDB.
